Proposed Large-Area Natural Reserves

Novohradské Mountains is the only proposed Large-Area Natural Reserve with special regulations in the Český Krumlov region. Case studies presented by the former State regional centre for heritage care and environmental protection in České Budějovice are dated back to 1983! This precious region, however, has not been delcared a natural reserve as of yet - the Environmental Protection Department of the Český Krumlov municipality declared the Novohradské Mountains a park, at least, in 1999.
