Any lager-scale industrial production in the Inner Town is not a possibility due to the Town's configuration of historically developed areas. On one side we have the local philosophy of fostering tourism as a basic program, while on the other we must recognize the fact that a larger municipality can hardly survive without industry. For this reason the democratically elected representatives of the Town made a decision in the beginning to clearly mark the boundaries of the industrial area in Domoradice. By the statement dated 1991, based on an evaluation of all aspects (including ecology), the Domoradice Industrial Zone became part of the City district and is reserved for the possible future development of any such production-related activities.
The town center itself is first and foremost qualified for the third sphere. Dozens of restaurants, rooming houses and community services are located in the Inner Town. A lesser number of grocers' has become a contemporary problem, so the city solves the situation by constructing supermarkets in the suburbs. This is naturally a problem for other important locations all over the world.
