Architect Vlastimil TESKA  (born in 1945 in Písek)
is the author of more then 250 interior objects - predominantly chairs, armchairs, chests of drawers, tables and smaller tables. His handiwork includes especially wooden sculptures of superb utility value, intersting shapes and elaborate surface designs. The artist works with massive wood and the final image is completed by colour staining and with graphic details of exotic woods. In some cases he uses optical glass elements from the workshop of the artistic glassworker Jan Fendrych.
However, the author is not interested only in the creation of the individual objects. He also devotes himself to designing and realization of interiors - both residential and working ineriors.
The Gallery ART at St. Jošt has cooperated with the architect since its foundation in 1993 and a large number of exceptional, non-traditionally interpreted interiors have been designed so far.
